About
I'm an economics Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley and SSHRC Doctoral Fellow. My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomic growth, international economics and macro-finance. My work seeks to understand the costs of sovereign defaults in developing countries, how to balance fiscal stimulus with bank bailouts to rescue an economy in financial crisis, as well as the optimization of energy grids for the green transition.
I'm also a columnist for The Globe and Mail where I share my views on the economy and global affairs. I hold an M.A. in economics from Yale University and a B.A. from the University of Toronto where I studied economics, mathematics, and philosophy.
